Designing effective Early Warning Systems (EWS)
REPRESA Madagascar collaborates closely with local communities to co-design tailored early warning systems (EWS) that meet their specific needs. Through inclusive practices, we aim to bridge gaps in EWS implementation and enhance community resilience to tropical cyclones (TCs). We engage in community-level workshops and consultations to enhance Community Early Warning Systems in REPRESA sites across Madagascar. We develops policy reports on existing EWS gaps and community-based solutions. And we integrates community insights into national EWS frameworks to improve effectiveness.
Climate-induced migration
REPRESA Madagascar integrates climate risk assessment into programming for migration contexts, supporting organizations in identifying and addressing climate risks within their strategic plans. We develop site-tailored climate action plans for humanitarian and government agencies. We conducts capacity-building workshops on migration in multi-hazard contexts.
Operationalizing multi-hazard forecasts
REPRESA Madagascar operationalizes advanced multi-hazard forecasting systems for tropical cyclones, focusing on technical innovations and procedural frameworks to enhance disaster preparedness across the region. We work on current and future TC forecast bulletins. We apply cutting-edge forecasting technologies to improve accuracy and timeliness.
Context-specific climate adaptation plans
REPRESA Madagascar develops context-specific climate adaptation plans in collaboration with stakeholders, advancing climate and conflict-sensitive analysis and planning to promote resilience in vulnerable communities. We produce policy briefs on climate action planning. We use interdisciplinary approaches to develop climate adaptation and resilience-building strategies.
